Fallen friends remembered as hard-working and decent lads

Gardai have released pictures of the four friends killed in last night’s horrific road crash in West Donegal.

All four young men were popular, hard-working lads who enjoyed sport and had completed their education.

May they rest in peace.

John Harley

John Harley RIP

Aged 24, John Harley was from Falcarragh and was a keen member of the Cloughnaeely GAA Club and Glenea Utd soccer Club. He attended Pobolscoil Chloich Cheannfhaola in Falcarragh and then studied at Sligo IT and was currently completing an apprenticeship with a local electrician.

Daniel Scott

Daniel Scott RIP

Daniel Scott, also went to Pobolscoil Chloich Cheannfhaola in Falcarragh and then went to Letterkenny Institute of Technology where he studied civil engineering. He was a member of Cloughaneely GAA club and was due to travel to Denmark to begin a new job.

Shaun Harkin

Shaun Harkin RIP

Shaun Harkin, aged 22, was educated at Pobolscoil Chloich Cheannfhaola in Falcarragh and then also went to LYIT qualifying as an electrician. He played GAA and soccer and was also a member of Cloughaneely Golf Club.

Mícheál Roarty

Michael Roarty RIP

Mícheál Roarty, aged 24, was from Gaoth Dobhair. He played GAA at minor level and won an All Ireland vocational schools medal. He played for Gaoth Dobhair GAA Club and also played soccer with Dunlewey Celtic.
