The Donegal branch of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland is hosting a coffee morning and information event on Tuesday 5th February in the Silver Tassie Hotel Letterkenny.
Acquired Brain Injury Ireland is a non-profit charity that supports people who experience the trauma of brain injury.
The local centre is based at Loughnagin, Ramelton Road, Letterkenny.
Rehab Assistant Rose Friel outlined the goal of the upcoming event: “Our aim is to gain public awareness on what we do here. Also to give support and guidance to those who may have a brain injury or are caring for someone with a brain injury.”
Acquired Brain Injury Ireland seeks to help rebuild lives after a brain injury. They provide community based neuro-rehabilitation services specific to a person’s individual needs and develop an IRP (Individual Rehabilitation Plan) for every person.
ABI offer training, advocacy and practical help to people with acquired brain injuries and their families. The group lobbies for more resources and raise awareness of the prevalence of acquired brain injury and advocates for changes in behaviour which could reduce the number of cases.
All are welcome to visit and support the coffee morning.
