There is anger in West Donegal today following the pending closure of Bunbeg Post office.
The post office has served the people of the locality for more than 100 years.
It is the latest in a raft of post offices to close across the county in recent months.
Local county councillor Micheal Mac Giolla Easbuig said he sent a letter to Minister Richard Bruton, outlining the community’s continued opposition to the government’s attacks on our community.
“They are contradicting their own policy. The Government and An Post have closed this post office.
“I have seen people crying here today because of the loss of services. If we are to keep rural Ireland then we need these services,” he said.
