The annual New Year’s Day Walk/Run along the beautiful Atlantic Drive in aid of Crumlin Hospital for sick children proved another huge success.

It is the 19th year of the event and it has raised a massive amount of money for the hospital in that time.

The weather played ball and the walk set off at noon with everyone in high spirits. There were many walkers and the numbers who ran it again increased from last year.

However, for the people who got around the course, they did it for the same reason, which was to help a very worthy cause.

This year to date there has been over €18,000 raised with many more cards still to come back in.

Eleanor Mooney who has run this event since the beginning will be bowing out next year after 20 years and is once again very grateful to everyone for their support and hopes next year will be even bigger.

Have a great 2019 everyone and thank you!
