Eamonn McConigley felt a long break during the Christmas period cost his team on Sunday following their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Derry City Reserves.
The Letterkenny Rovers boss watched his side slump to their first league defeat of the season, insisting a lack of fitness took its toll
Speaking to Donegal Sport Hub following the defeat, McConigley urged his side to show a strong response in the next game.
“We had a small meeting in the dressing (after the match) and that is what we have to do now, we have to get up on the horse again, it’s all level (at the top of the table), there is nothing lost or nothing gained.
“We are still very much in everything but we’ll have to change our attitude and we had a talk about that.”
