A man arrested in connection with the death of young Donegal mum Jasmine McMonagle is still being questioned at Letterkenny Garda station.

The man, who is in his late 20s and who was known to the late Ms McMonagle, was arrested at the dead woman’s home at Forest Park in Killygordon around 7.30am yesterday morning.

A psychiatrist who attended Letterkenny Garda station and treated the man said he was well enough to answer Garda questions.

The man can be held for up to 48 hours by which time he must be charged or released.

Well-known Donegal solicitor Frank Dorian is understood to be representing the man and has been in attendance at Letterkenny Garda station.
