Ronan Curtis began 2019 with a bang on New Years Day – hitting his ninth goal of the season as Portsmouth overcame AFC Wimbledon.
The St Johnston man has been on fire since joining Pompey from Derry City in the summer.
Curtis’ early-season form led to his Republic of Ireland senior debut and already he has been linked with moves up the football ladder.
Portsmouth led when Jamal Lowe converted after Curtis’ drive came off the post.
Kwesi Appiah levelled for AFC Wimbledon but Curtis – who riffled an earlier attempt just wide – headed home a Ben Thompson cross to keep Portsmouth on top of League One.
Curtis now has nine goals and eight assists to his name this season.
