Jason Gibson admitted that his Bonagee United were ‘hanging on a wee bit’ before conceding a last-gasp equaliser to Derry City Reserves last night.
Adam Curran struck four minutes into added time as Derry snatched a point.
Curran’s goal cancelled out Jordan Armstrong’s strike for the hosts on a night when Bonagee were made pay for failing to take their chances.
“We were hanging on a wee bit,” Gibson said.
“Without them creating any clear-cut chances, we were managing it well, but you could see we hadn’t played in a couple of weeks. It’s a bit of a sickener.
“We actually played very well. We didn’t play as well against them earlier in the season and won the game.
“We haven’t been clinical enough. Everyone always seems to get a chance – and they took theirs. We should have had the game to bed.”
