Christmas came early for Eileen Doherty, who won the chance to dash around her local Lidl in a Supermarket Sweep competition!

Eileen was one of 158 shoppers across the country who won a free shop at Lidl stores – and she is well stocked up for Christmas now with her turkey, poinsettia, and party food sorted.

With 1 week left till Christmas, Eileen had 2 minutes to dash around the Donegal Town Lidl store and fill her trolley with as many products as possible.

Eileen was the winner in the Donegal store and managed to grab herself €153.09 worth of Christmas shopping, getting the essentials all for free, as she dropped in the most value of food into her trolley.

The €1 entry tickets were sold in Lidl stores across the country from November 12th to December 2nd. 100% of proceeds from the sale of Lidl’s Trolley Dash tickets went to Jigsaw, Lidl’s charity partner.

In County Donegal alone, over €9,600 was raised for the charity. The Lidl Trolley Dash, which raised over €213,000 across Ireland, is part of Lidl’s pledge to raise €1 million for Jigsaw in the next 3 years.
