A Donegal man is to spend Christmas in jail awaiting charges on a theft scam.
Mark Fair (28) of Ballinahone, Fahan appeared before Letterkenny District Court by videolink on various theft charges.
He was arrested at 1.30am on Thursday, December 13 and charged with five separate theft charges.
Fair obtained nearly €1,500 in payments from five different people between February and May 2018.
They included a loader bracket and weight block for a tractor, an iPhone 8 Plus, 15 beef seeders and another tractor part.
Judge Paul Kelly had previously refused bail on the grounds of his significant history of bench warrants, concern that he will dispose of potential evidence and a threat he is alleged to have made to a potential witness.
The court was told that the Director of Public Prosecutions has not made a decision on the matter and Fair was remanded in custody until January 7th next.
