Declan Bonner was pleased with Donegal’s ‘application’ in a runaway 15-point win over Sligo in Letterkenny today.
“It’s good to get the lads back into a game situation,” Bonner said.
“We had some decent performances. It’s early doors, but it’s great to get back on the pitch again.
“Overall, the application was top class. We had a bit of rustiness, but we had some outstanding scores in the second half.
“We’ll put it into perspective, it’s in the month of December, but we’re working to the McKenna Cup.”
Donegal begin their McKenna Cup campaign in two weeks’ time when they face Queen’s in Ballybofey.
