Catherine Grier scored again for the Republic of Ireland Deaf Women’s team, but they went down against England in today’s EDSA European quarter-final.
Ireland led 2-1 at half-time, with Aisling Hanley scoring twice, but England hit back to take the advantage.
It was Ramelton woman Grier who netted to force extra time, but it was the English side who won 5-3.
Grier had scored twice in Sunday’s win over Norway, which qualified Ireland for the quarter-finals.
Ireland play Sweden in a placings match tomorrow in Tampere, Finland, while they have also qualified for next year’s World Cup.
