Daniel O’Donnell has spoken out over his anger at a con man who was stealing his fans’ cash by pretending he was collecting donations for charity.
Daniel, 56, said: “Someone was using WhatsApp to try and get people to donate money.
“Obviously the person ringing was able to put on an accent similar to mine and the person who he called immediately went to the bank to send money to this charity. That’s my sketchy take on it.”
The star added: “I wouldn’t like to see it happen — someone appealing to people’s good nature like that. You could be taken in very quickly by it.”
