Home Instead Senior Care in Donegal last night celebrated the launch of its new premises in Letterkenny with the Majella O’Donnell doing the honours.
New owner Martin Murphy was joined by local health professionals, staff and others from the local community, for the special evening at Riverfront House on Letterkenny’s Pearse Street.
Murphy, who originally hails from Wexford, said: “I’ve made a lot of friends and have been given a lot of good will and good wishes since I’ve arrived, from the staff, local healthcare professionals, and above all the local community.
“I’ve found Donegal people to be very friendly, hardworking, very proud, extremely resilient and instinctively innovative.
“But despite their tenacity, there is, of course, a growing part of the population who do need help. Who do need support in their lives, and who are fully deserving of that support.
“It’s the older & disabled people of Donegal, or those who can no longer look after themselves. Or it’s their families, who put their heart and soul into caring for their loved ones who need, it, but deserve a break from time to time.
Home Instead Senior Care in Donegal has the experience, and the expertise, to deliver the very best home care available, to ensure that those who need it can live longer, happier and more independent lives at home, according to Murphy.
Paying tribute to the “brilliant, dynamic team” at Home Instead Donegal, he said he looked forward to working with them as they continue to grow their presence in the county”.
“We’ll be bringing more than 60 new jobs to the region early next year as we continue to provide the highest quality of care all over County Donegal,” said Murphy.
