‘Ní Neart go cur le chéile’ (There’s no strength without unity) – that’s the message promoted at Gairmscoil Chú Uladh in their strong anti-bullying campaign.
Students of the Donegal Gaeltacht school’s health committee came up with a unique idea for Anti-Bullying Week 2018.
They organised teachers, staff and students to dance their way through Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake it Off’ hit song. Everyone played their part in the lively video, which showcased co-operation, friendship and a bit of good-natured craic in the school.
From science to French, the front desk to the canteen, the school was buzzing with activity for this lip-sync extravaganza which had an important message. Check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/341378369340234/videos/1145598645603252/
Anti-Bullying Week is held in November to encourage people to speak up about bullying and to raise awareness of the issue of bullying among children, especially in schools.
Children of all ages as well as parents and children are encouraged to get involved in the event and take part in activities that will help to shine a light on the problem of bullying and ways to help resolve the issue.
