Christ Church in Buncrana is set to reopen in time for Christmas after a series of vandalism attacks.
The Church of Ireland building was targetted by vandals in October who reportedly burnt leaflets, stubbed out cigarettes on the carpet floor, and wrote ‘KKK’ in a Bible.
Eggs were thrown in the building and floral displays were destroyed during the incidents.
It has been announced that Christ Church will officially reopen on 12th December with a Thanksgiving concert, according to BBC NI.
Reverend Judy McGaffin has also announced a policy change to protect the space.
The church will no longer be open to the public to pray during the day. Instead, the church will only open for services.
A security review will see CCTV installed in the building.
