John Bosco Gallagher insists Gaoth Dobhair are ‘under no illusions’ as they head into unchartered waters this weekend.
Gaoth Dobhair joust with Scotstown in Sunday’s Ulster Club SFC final.
Having won their 15th Donegal SFC title this year, Gaoth Dobhair are now aiming to go where no Donegal club has gone since 1975 and win a provincial crown.
“It’s a great place to be, but it’s going to be tough,” says Gallagher, a selector on Mervyn O’Donnell’s backroom team, said.
“As we know, it’s a tall ask for us to come up against Scotstown, who have won the last four Monaghan championships. They’ve been chasing an Ulster title for a few years and we’re here for the first time.
“We’re under no illusions here. We’re just going to plan for this game like we planned for other games.”
