A number of weather warnings are in effect as heavy rain and strong winds are expected across much of the country.
There’s has been a yellow wind warning since 11am for Donegal, Leinster, Munster, Connacht, Cavan and Monaghan.

Met Éireann says southeasterly winds will reach average speeds of 50-65km/h with gusts of 90-110km/hr.
The warning will remain in place until 7pm in Co. Donegal – with heavy rain expected to continue until 6pm.
