It felt like removing a hoodoo from their backs as the Donegal League finally got one over on their neighbours from the Inishowen League tonight.
“I’m over the moon,” Donegal League manager Raymond Shields said.
“We knew it would be a tough game because Inishowen are a very good side. Our preparation this time was excellent and they thoroughly deserved it.
“I couldn’t ask for better. As far as I’m concerned, I see serious desire in there. We outlined our plans and the boys bought into it. There are great leaders in there.
“Inishowen pressed hard, but we held strong.”
