There are just three weeks remaining for the ‘Truth for Danielle’ charity shop to raise funds for the family of the late Danielle McLaughlin.
The ‘Good as New’ store was set up in Carndonagh last month to raise funds for the legal trial against the young Buncrana woman’s alleged killer.
Danielle McLaughlin was tragically murdered in India in March 2017. Her family’s fight for justice continues as they pay for legal representation in the trial of Vikat Bhagat in Goa, who has been charged with murdering and raping the Donegal woman.
Local volunteers recently opened the Good as New charity shop upstairs above G&S Costcutters on Church Rd Carndonagh.
As the shop closing date approaches, locals are being asked to continue their strong show of support in any way they can.
Organiser Kay McDaid said: “We accept donations big or small – clothes, small furniture, and whatever people can donate.
“We would like to thank people for the support so far as everyone has been very generous.”
Kay added: “Any money, donations, clothes, towels, bedding, curtains will be welcome to help raise as much money as possible to help get the Truth for Danielle and her family and friends.”
“We open from 10am until 5pm every day and 2pm until 5pm on Sunday.”
A fundraising raffle is also being hosted by the shop. The draw will be held on November 24th and tickets are available to buy instore at €2 each or three for €5.
Kay adds that anyone who would like to donate a prize for the raffle is very welcome to do so. Simply drop it into the shop.
