Terence Doherty, Cathal McDaid and Joe Doherty all got on the mark for Shane Byrne’s side in the closing stages as they twisted the knife on Cappry.
The Inishowen League side were 3-1 up by that stage, with Christy McLaughlin’s first-half brace and a third by James McKinney setting them on their way.
Glengad hit the front after just four minutes. Seamus Doherty’s ball in was flicked on by Terence Doherty and Barrow rushed in to connect. Barrow;’s shot was saved by Eoin Gallen, but Christy McLaughlin, following in, slotted home the rebound.
Cappry levelled when Dean O’Donnell brilliantly connected to David Gethins’ cross and turned past Daniel Malarkey.
But the home joy lasted just three minutes and Christy McLaughlin’s second of the day was worthy of any stage. From the edge of the box, the former Derry City underage player curled delightfully past Gallen.
Four minutes into the second half, Glengad added to their tally as McKinney raced onto a through ball to tuck home.
Glengad finished with a flourish and showed their might with that trio of late goals.
First, Terence Doherty was found by Cathal McDaid and Doherty expertly found the top corner of the Cappry net.
McKinney turned provider for substitute McDaid to get in on the act.
And the rout was completed when Joe Doherty, another replacement for the Crua men, held off two defenders and netted.
