An Inishowen-based beautician has joined an elite group of salon owners after receiving an award in France.
Joan’s Beauty Salon Buncrana, owned by Joan Wilkin, was recently honoured for their dedication to the highest standards in beauty and skin-care.
The salon was chosen as one of six Irish beauty salons to attend a prestigious event at the Simone Mahler Institute in Bordeaux France.
The event was hosted by Michel Grillon, CEO of the Simone Mahler skincare company.

Whilst there, the salon owners attended a conference and specialised training presented by Mr Grillon in the latest developments and techniques in skin-care innovation.
“I was thrilled to meet Dr. Grillon and it was such a wonderful experience to have the opportunity to train in this centre of excellence in skin-care,” Joan said.
This accolade is a much-deserved recognition of Joan’s commitment to the beauty and skin-care needs of her clients.
Joan’s Beauty Salon was established 30 years in Buncrana and serves Inishowen and further afield in all aspects of beauty therapy.
