Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body at an apartment block in Cabra, Dublin.
A relative found the 33-year-old mother-of-two in an apartment at around 2.30pm.
Emergency services and the gardaí were called and a criminal investigation is now underway.
The woman appears to have died violently but the cause of death will not be established until the post-mortem has been carried out tomorrow.
At this stage, there are no signs of a break-in at the apartment.
The scene has been preserved and the Garda Technical Bureau is carrying out an examination of the scene at this time. The body remains at the scene and will be moved shortly where a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out in the morning.
A man in his mid-30s has been arrested in relation to the investigation and he is currently being detained at Mountjoy Garda Station under Section 4, Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
