Gaoth Dobhair’s Neil McGee is expecting a ‘dogfight’ in Sunday’s county final against Naomh Conaill.
McGee won the 2002 and 2006 finals with Gaoth Dobhair, but they’ve not been back since.

“Once I came onto the scene, we competed every year for three or four years,” McGee said.
“Things fell away a bit. The talent was always there, but there was a bit of a clash there all the time.
“This is going to be a dogfight.”
Gaoth Dobhair won Division 1 of the All-County League this year having played much of the season without their posse of county players.
One of those who came back to bolster the squad in August, McGee said: “Once we got knocked out by Tyrone, there wasn’t a big panic to get county boys back. The lads had the League nearly won. They didn’t start crying about county players. They played away at games and they’re better for it. It’s hard to beat just playing games.”
