Creative Halloween fans in Bundoran can look forward to a spooktacular event as the pumpkin carving contest and parade returns for 2018.
The annual pumpkin carving competition and pumpkin parade will once again take place on Halloween day – Wednesday October 31st at the Atlantic Apartotel and Main Street Bundoran.
The event will begin at 3:30pm at the Apartotel where families will gather to carve pumpkins together and come up with creative designs to ensure their pumpkin looks the part for the parade.
Cutting materials will be provided as part of the admission charge. Families and groups are encouraged to bring extra materials to decorate their pumpkins as they see fit.
There will also be a photobooth where participants can pose for group photos with our various Halloween props.
The parade will then take place at 5:30pm from outside the Apartotel on Main Street, finishing at Bundoran Community Library where all the pumpkins will be displayed and prizes will be awarded for the pumpkins and also for fancy dress.
Bundoran Tourism Officer Shane Smyth is looking forward to another creative and fun Halloween event. Smyth said: “this is now the 6th year of the pumpkin carving competition and parade and each year it gets a bit bigger and we start to see familiar faces returning to take part. We encourage as many people as possible to come on to the Main Street to watch the participants march with their pumpkins as far as Bundoran Community Library on the day.”
