Shane Blaney made his debut for Doncaster Rovers in tonight’s Checkatrade Trophy First Round win over Grimsby Town.
Blaney was handed a start by manager Grant McCann for the Cup clash at the Keepmoat Stadium.
And the former Finn Harps defender – who has returned from a loan spell at Tamworth – gave an assured display.
Blaney played 84 minutes tonight as Alfie May’s double gave them a 2-0 win in front of 1,420.
Blaney moved to League One side Doncaster in January from Harps.
