His immaculately groomed hair and tailored waistcoats don’t exactly muster up the image of a Viking.
But singer Daniel O’Donnell has been given a taste of what life was like as plundering Scandinavian during the filming of a television documentary in America this week.
Daniel O’Donnell attended the Norsk Hostfest as he spent the last three weeks trying ‘new things’ for his new American TV show.
As he’s done that – as television channel PBS has been following him with their cameras ahead of the series.
This week the TV channel captured Daniel and wife Majella being one of the Vikings at the Hostfest in Dakota.
He got in full costume along with his wife and they played some traditional Viking games.
O’Donnell’s manager says it’s great opportunity for him to dive into the culture and be apart of the communities he performs in.
“Well it’s great that he’s up for that for that kind of sport. He’s a good sport about it as is Majella so it’s great that he’s willing to do that,” said Kieran Cavangah, Daniel O’Donnell’s Manager.
Daniel was inducted into the 2018 Scandinavian America Hall of Fame Honors at the Hostfest.
