Have you just moved out of home for the first time?  Are you finding it difficult to adjust to all of the new duties and responsibilities that come along with suddenly being an adult?

The Letterkenny Youth Information Centre are here to help!

They will be running a free ‘College Survival Course’ on Friday the 28th of September at 2pm.

During the 2 hour course they will cover things like budgeting, how to spend less and save more, how to store food correctly, hints and tips on how to use up leftovers, your rights as a tenant, employment rights, and how to manage your timetable, assignments, deadlines etc.

They will also go over some basic recipe ideas, to help you make affordable and nutritious meals.  As well as information from Ulster Bank regarding budgeting, saving and tips on how to recognise fraudulent transactions.  The YIC team will also be giving out contact details for all sorts of local services that will be helpful.

Appointments can also be made for one-to-one sessions if you would prefer to talk in confidence about any of these issues.  Letterkenny Youth Information Centre staff will be there to answer your questions and help support young people as best they can.

You can find the Letterkenny Youth Information Centre (YIC) at Donegal Youth Service, 16-18 Port Road.  You can find them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, for more information about this course email emma.wilkie@donegalyouthservice.ie, or call 074 91 29630
