The Letterkenny Municipal District has agreed to increase the volume of the audible pedestrian signal to aid the visually impaired in Letterkenny.
This comes following a request by Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh, who made the request at September’s Municipal District meeting.

Traffic lights in Letterkenny
Cllr Kavanagh had concerns that the current level of the signal was too low for the visually impaired pedestrians in town centre.
Following the question, the Municipal District agreed: “The audible signal volume (will) be increased at the traffic lights in (Letterkenny) town to aid the visually impaired pedestrians.”
