Minister of State John Halligan is to meet with Donegal TDs and Senators to discuss the school bus debacle in Milford.
It follows representations made by Deputy Pat the Cope Gallagher.
Deputy Gallagher said he has contacted Minister Halligan in an effort to solve the issues surrounding school transport for both the Loreto Community School Milford and Mulroy College.
He said “Over 30 students at present are finding it difficult to obtain the necessary school transport to and from their respective schools.
“I have spoken with many of the parents of the students directly affected by this decision over the past week and I have raised the issues with the line Minister in an effort to get a resolution to this problem and for him to get directly involved in solving the problem.”
Pat the Cope added Minister Halligan has agreed to meet with all Donegal Dail and Seanad Representatives in an effort to resolve the current difficulties with transport to and from the two Milford schools.
Minister John Halligan has agreed to meet with the public representatives tomorrow with all the Donegal TDs and Senators putting on a united front in an effort to find a solution to these transport issues.
