John Quigg insists that Derry City will keep using the Ulster Senior League ‘in the right way’ to nurture the Candystripes’ young talent.
Derry City Reserves have passed the likes of James McClean, Michael Duffy, Ronan Curtis, Patrick McEleney, Barry McNamee and the late Ryan McBride through the Ulster Senior League.
Now, a new crop – including Shane McNamee, Adrian Delap, Sean McBride, Cathal Farren and Evan Tweed – are cutting their teeth at USL level as they look to keep impressing Kenny Shiels.
“This is a great League for the kids to play in,” Quigg said.
“We have used it in the right way. It has been fantastic. We’ll keep using it in the right way.”
