Buncrana’s business, sporting and community organisations have today issued an open letter to the Taoiseach calling on him to work with his Ministerial colleagues to provide the necessary funding in the upcoming Budget to restore and reopen Swan Park.

The major Inishowen attraction has been permanently closed since flash flooding destroyed the area last summer.

Organisations such as Buncrana Chamber of Commerce, The Amazing Grace Initiative and Buncrana GAA released a joint letter, it said:

We the undersigned call on you to work with your Ministerial colleagues to provide the funding necessary in the upcoming Budget to restore and reopen Swan Park, Buncrana.

With thanks,

Buncrana Tidy Towns, Buncrana Chamber of Commerce, Buncrana GAA, Buncrana Anglers, Insight Inishowen, The Exchange, The Amazing Grace Initiative, West Inishowen History & Heritage, Wild Inishowen
