Gardai are continuing to investigate a serious collision which occurred last night on the N13 Letterkenny to Ballybofey road.
As diversions are in place, motorists travelling to Letterkenny are warned to expect delays on the back road coming into Oldtown.
Traffic gridlock is reported as far back as Rahan Mor Meadow at the top of Crievesmith hill this morning. Traffic is moving slowly approaching the Oldtown Roundabout.
Diversions at the scene of the crash are expected to remain in place until later this Friday afternoon.
One man has been seriously injured in the two-vehicle collision at Dooballagh between Letterkenny and Drumkeen.
Traffic travelling from Letterkenny is being diverted via Glenmaquin. If you are coming from the Ballybofey side, you’ll be diverted at Drumkeen.
Gardaí ask that HGVs avoid the area and instead travel via Lifford.
