Margaret Reid of Finn Valley set a new personal best on her way to finishing tenth at the World Masters Championships in Malaga.

Reid came tenth in the W45 5k walk.

Her time of 29 minutes and 30.53 seconds was a new PB.

35 athletes began a race that was won by Italy’s Elena Cinca in 25:39.07.

Alexandra Lamas from Portugal took silver with Violaine Bray of France winning bronze.

Earlier today, Reid’s trainer partner Sinead McConnell won silver in the W50 5k walk.
