A public meeting has been organised for the people of Bunbeg to discuss options to keep their local Post Office in service.

This follows An Post’s announcement that 17 post offices in rural areas across Donegal are facing closure should postmasters retire.

The public event has been planned for Ionad Naomh Pádraig Dobhar next Wednesday, 5th September, at 7 p.m.

Local Cllr Michael Cholm Mac Giolla Easpuig said that the aim of the meeting is to discuss the most effective way that the community can fight against the closure of post offices in their area.

Speakers to be confirmed. Everyone welcome.
