Former Cockhill Celtic winger Ronan ‘Olly’ Doherty netted his first goal for Irish League side Institute this evening.
Institute overcame Loughgall 5-1 in the Bet McClean League Cup.
Doherty, a summer signing by Paddy McLaughlin from USL champions Cockhill, hit the third goal for ‘Stute.
Doherty, who had excelled for Cockhill last season on their way to another League and League Cup double, curled home a free kick.
Darren Henderson and Joe McCreadie had Institute two-up and Doherty’s set piece had them three in front at half-time with Henderson and Jamie Dunne sealing a comfortable win.
