Bus Eireann have warned customers in Donegal to book as soon as they can for the Pope’s final mass on Sunday, August 26 in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.
The company announced yesterday that they still have a limited number of seats available on their two Expressway service’s from Letterkenny, Bus Station and also from Donegal town (Abbey Hotel) via Ballyshannon on August 26.
The two services’ will cost €40 for a return ticket to Dublin Busaras or €20 for a single ticket and they will both depart at 05:30am.

The Pontiff will touch down at Dublin Airport at 10:30am on Saturday, August 25th.
Pope Francis is expected to draw significant smaller crowds than the last papal trip to Ireland by John Paul II nearly 40 years ago, which drew crowds of 2.5 million people.
Pope John Paul II visited Ireland in 1979.
However, the event is still supposed to be extremely crowded with a spokesperson for Iarnród Éireann said that the Cork, Kerry and Limerick trains’ to Dublin to see Pope Francis on Sunday, August 26 are now fully booked.
A spokeswoman for Bus Éireann told the Independent.ie: “There is strong demand for special Expressway services from both Cork and Galway to the Dublin Phoenix Park Mass on August 26th next.
“There is also strong demand from Sligo – and the surrounding areas – to Knock for Pope Francis’s visit to the Shrine.
“There is still limited availability on other special services to Dublin on the 26th, including those from Limerick, Waterford, Wexford and Donegal.
“Given some rail services have booked out and public transport is the recommended travel option, we are expecting these seats to sell quickly.”
Meanwhile, Dublin City council have published a list of some 150 roads that will be closed in the capital on the Saturday and Sunday.
Train services from Cork, Kerry and Limerick train to Dublin to see Pope Francis on Sunday, August 26 are now fully booked, while Sligo and Galway services are almost all gone.
