Speaking on his social media accounts’ the former Gun N’ Roses star said all the proceeds will cover the legal cost for the McLaughlin family for the ongoing trial.
Twenty-eight-year-old Danielle left Donegal on a backpacking experience in February 2017 but was later found dead on March 14, 2017, in the Indian resort of Canacona, where she had been celebrating the Holi festival.
Indian national Bhagat (24) was charged under Sections 302 (murder), 376 (rape), 394 (robbery) and 201 (destruction of evidence) of the India Penal Code (IPC).
In May 2017, the accused wrote a 29-page letter to his sister, claiming his three friends murdered Ms McLaughlin.
According to the Herald Goa, Bhagat repeatedly wrote in his letter that he was in a physical relationship with Ms McLaughlin.
Authorities in Goa later told local reporters that the three individuals were investigated but their role in the death “cannot be established”.
