Last Friday night was a very special night for the 100+ members of the Ceol le Chéile choir when they took to the stage in An Grianan Theatre with none other than international singing legend Daniel O’Donnell.
This was their first ever performance in front of an audience of family and friends.
Ceol le Chéile is an intergenerational choir made up of older people, children and young people, male and female from all walks of life in Donegal.
It is directed by well known Choral Director Veronica McCarron who came to prominence when she reached the semi-finals of ‘Britains Got Talent’ with the Presentation Secondary School Choir from Kilkenny choir in 2016.
Ceol le Chéile is Donegal’s Choir of the Ages and was conceived as part of the Donegal Age Friendly Programme with the aim of promoting social inclusion and developing stronger relationships between older people, children and young people.
