The warm summer sunshine has made a welcome return to Donegal this week, but only for a short while.
Today (Wednesday) will see temperatures rising to highs of 24 degrees Celsius with humid conditions.
The blue sunny skies may turn cloudier by the afternoon, but it will remain warm. Forecasters are predicting sunny spells and a small chance of showers, so don’t put away the sunscreen, or umbrellas, just yet.
A dry and humid night is in store, with temperatures ranging from 12-14C in the north west.
Met Eireann have issued a Status Yellow Marine Warning for the west coast of Ireland. “South or southeasterly winds will reach force 6 or higher at times today on coasts from Mizen Head to Slyne Head to Malin Head,” said forecasters.
Wednesday will be the best day to be out and about, as tomorrow (Thursday) is expected to bring heavy downpours by the evening.
