Would you like to learn new skills in video production, design, Internet Safety and meet new people from an international background?
If you answered yes to any of those questions then come along to the Letterkenny Youth Information Centre’s free media week which is taking place from the 30th July until the 2nd of August, starting at 1pm each day.
Throughout the week the group will be working on video production, design, internet safety workshops, social media usage, and a collaboration with a group of French students on an audiovisual project. It is a great opportunity to try out a variety of things and meet new people at the same time.
Youth Information Officer Katarzyna Kurzeja said “If you are interested in learning the basics of the film making, and design, or just taking part in exciting workshops, and meeting the international students from France then come along . Food, refreshments and a great atmosphere will be provided! No previous experience is necessary, just bring yourself.”
The free week has been organised by the Youth Information Centre as part of their media group which meets bi-weekly throughout the year. There is no need to book a place for the media week, as young people aged 12-25 are invited to drop-in as usual and take part. If you have never been to the drop-in at Donegal Youth Service before then this is the perfect opportunity to see what services are available to you.
The Letterkenny Youth Information Centre (YIC) provides a free information service to young people, parents/guardians and those who work with them, as well as operating a day time drop-in service, providing workshops for schools, running groups and much more.
