Three Diaspora ambassadors are to be awarded this year’s prestigious Tip O’Neill Award.
They are the Homes of Donegal Fundraising Committee, golfer Paul McGinley and former Governor of Maryland, Martin O’Malley
The Homes of Donegal Fundraising Committee raised a huge amount of money to help victims of the devastating flooding in the Inishowen peninsula last year.
Professional golfer Paul McGinley is also a popular nominee having helped to secure the Irish Open for Ballyliffin.
The former Governor of Maryland, Martin O’Malley is the third recipient of the award.
All three will be given their award at a ceremony later this year.
