Michael Murphy says Donegal had a point to prove yesterday evening at Dr Hyde Park.
Murphy, who scored a stunning nine points, drove Donegal to a seven-point win that sets up a huge clash with Tyrone on the August Bank Holiday weekend in Ballybofey.
After a defeat to Dublin last weekend, only a win in Roscommon gave Donegal a chance to stay alive.
“We’re just happy to come down here and win,” Murphy said.
“We were very disappointed last week. We wanted to try and play on the front foot and we didn’t do that long enough last week.
“We came in this week, after a quick turnaround, with a point to prove and we wanted to get back on the horse.”
