Maxi Curran says Donegal’s ladies must treat every game from now like an All-Ireland final.
Curran has backed the Donegal ladies to have a lasting run this summer as they prepare to face Tipperary in Castlerea on Saturday.
Ulster champions Donegal are grouped with Tipp and Kerry in the group phase, with the top two qualifying for the All-Ireland quarter-finals.
“The way it’s structured the consequence of not finishing top would be to play Dublin,” Curran noted.
“That’s a severe cost, but all we have to do is concentrate on Tipperary for now and then Kerry.
“We’ve been a long time without a game, five weeks. We’ve to come down from that high of winning Ulster to coming into this now.
“We can’t take anyone for granted. Tipperary are a serious outfit and they were quite unlucky to lose to Kerry last weekend. We know it’s do-or-die for them and a relegation play-off is the last thing that they’ll want.”
