Friday the 13th was an unlucky day for a gang of suspected criminals who were attempting a getaway from Letterkenny.
Five men have been arrested by Gardai following an investigation into stolen credit card usage.
An alert was raised by the ShopLK group on Thursday 12th July over stolen cards being used in local businesses.
The next day, Gardaí stopped a car in the town and discovered that it was packed with high value items. Seven bags were recovered from the vehicle.
“All packed, didn’t get to go,” was the comment from Gardaí yesterday.
Investigations are continuing.
