Dublin will be without John Small for Saturday’s game against Donegal at Croke Park.
Small was sent off for a strike on Laois’ Evan O’Carroll in the Leinster final last month.
The Central Competitions Controls Committee (CCCC) handed down a one-match suspension.
Dublin appealed the decision but last night the Central Hearings Committee (CHC) upheld the ban, meaning the Ballymun man will miss Saturday’s joust at GAA headquarters.
Small could, though, take a further appeal to the Central Appeals Committee (CAC).
