If you are looking to enjoy some family fun in the sun this weekend, then get down to Rossnowlagh this Sunday July 8th.
Three events are taking place on the day, including a beach clean-up, a seal release and an amazing learning opportunity with Seal Rescue Ireland.
Locals are being invited to train as a Seal Rescue Network Volunteer to gain life-saving skills for the welfare of the animals. Training will be held in the morning.
The afternoon will see a Seal Release at Rossnowlagh Beach, which will be a great spectacle for young and old. Volunteers must be over 18 and must pre-register.
There will be plenty of fun for all the family throughout the day at the Beach Clean and Seal Release.

When? Sunday 8th of July
9.30am – 1pm – Seal Rescue Training at Friary Hall ( More Info Below)
1.30pm – 2.30pm – Beach Clean on Rossnowlagh Beach with Clean Coasts
3pm – Seal Release at Rossnowlagh Beach
Rescue Training Information:
As a Seal Rescue Network Volunteer you will:
• Learn how to identify seals in distress
• Learn how to safely contain and transport seals
• Learn about seal ecology and behavior
• Help us respond to seal pups in need nationwide
• Receive a vest, membership card and rescue kit
