Harps youngster Gareth Doherty makes loan move to Dergview

Finn Harps midfielder Gareth Doherty has moved on loan to Irish League Championship outfit Dergview.

Doherty has not managed to break into Ollie Horgan’s plans at Finn Harps and has switched to Darragh Park.

Doherty had been a star of the Harps Under-19s, having moved from Letterkenny Rovers.

However, he has appeared only fleetingly for the first time and had become frustrated with his lack of chances in Ballybofey.

“Gareth is a player I know a long time,” Dergview manager Peter Allen said.

“He has fantastic quality on the ball from midfield and is really hungry to come in show his class. I’d like to thank Ollie Horgan for letting this happen.”
