Two people have been rescued from a drifting yacht off the coast of Killybegs.
The Killybegs Coast Guard confirmed they were tasked to the yacht one nautical mile south-west of Killybegs harbour by Malin Head Coast Guard yesterday.
The Coast Guard launched its RIB and made their way to the vessel before taking it under tow and returning the yacht and the two people to Killybegs small craft harbour.
A spokesperson for the Coast Guard confirmed those on board had their lifejackets on which were fitted with PLB (personal location beacons).
After the vessel was secured, Killybegs Coast Guard and its shore team were stood down.
