Warehouse Bar + Kitchen in Letterkenny created a jaw-dropping concoction last weekend that has achieved national fame since the Donegal Rally.
The popular bar on Main Street launched the controversially-named ‘Bomb in a Bag’ special drink for revellers visiting the town last weekend.
The Jaegerbomb shot, served in a plastic bag, proved a big hit in the bar and looks set to go viral online. The drink was picked up by men’s lifestyle site Joe.ie and with almost 2,000 shares, the creation has attracted a lot of comment. Some people were stunned and eager to try it, while others commented that the mixture looked ‘disgusting’.
It didn’t stop Warehouse selling hundreds of bags last weekend.
Warehouse General Manager Damien O’Donnell told Joe that the drink was designed for practical reasons:
“The ‘Bomb in the Bag’ came about as I was thinking about the upcoming Donegal Rally and the thousands of visitors that arrive from all over the country. There’s an amazing festival feel to Letterkenny and most enjoy hopping from bar to bar throughout the day.
“With the fantastic weather we have had lately, I wanted customers to have a cold refreshing drink that they could have on the street without needing a plastic cup, so I looked at the big sellers last year and came up with a Jägerbomb in a bag.”
The shot remains on the menu at Warehouse this week.
